Josh Silbert - Saxophones, Keyboards
Born outside of Detroit, Joshua Silbert has spent the majority of his life either in south Central Indiana or touring the country in a 15-passenger van. He received a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies from Indiana University and has taken master classes with Joe Henderson, Freddie Hubbard, Branford Marsalis and Betty Carter. While on tour with Johnny Socko, Mr. Silbert has shared the stage with Maceo Parker, The Dave Matthews Band, Kid Rock, The Roots and Soul Coughing. Some of Mr. Silbert's compositions have
appeared on public radio (theme for the weekly program Chef's Rendezvous), the
theatrical trailer for Eight Crazy Nights (starring Adam Sandler) as well as
dramatic performances in the U.S. and Europe. Some of Mr. Silbert's recording highlights include Mike Wanichic (The Why Store; MCA), Lisa Germano (Sony - 4AD), and Paul Mahern (The Mysteries of Life; RCA). Mr.Silbert is currently ass deep in a twelve-step program, tryin (unsuccessfully) to get him to curb his addiction to Reason and Recycle.
